As an organization that was founded by volunteers, HAWC understands the vital role that volunteers have in helping to fulfill our mission to end domestic and sexual violence.

Historically, nearly hundreds of volunteers have helped us annually by serving as child care providers, answering phone calls on the hotlines and assisting with administrative duties and special events.

With the ongoing pandemic and current precautions in place to include social distancing and other safety measures, volunteer opportunities are limited at this time, but our need for help and support from the community continues.

Volunteer Opportunities

Many of our new and future volunteer opportunities will take place in smaller groups or virtually. We ask that you check back with us on this page to stay current on volunteer opportunities as they are announced. In the meantime, please sign up for the next volunteer orientation here: New Volunteer Orientation.

Creating Supply Kits for Survivors and their Families

These kits are a way to directly impact survivors with their self-care and basic essential needs. Your family, co-workers and/or social groups can work as a team to make a difference and provide comfort to survivors during these difficult times.
