This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to make a difference.

Every day, the Houston Area Women’s Center answers about 120 calls from survivors seeking safety, support, and a path to healing. These calls are not just numbers—they represent our sisters, mothers, neighbors, sons, colleagues, and friends. Each call is a courageous step toward a safer future, and we are here to answer that call.

Donate $120 to honor the 120 calls we answer daily or contribute any amount meaningful to you. Every dollar makes a direct impact—no donation is too big or too small.

The reality is clear: abuse has no racial, gender, or economic boundaries. It’s a public health crisis affecting individuals and families across our community. Last year alone, HAWC answered 42,887 calls for help. These aren’t just statistics—they are lives in need of care and support.

To meet the growing demand for our services, we need your help. By donating $120 today, you can make a direct impact: it helps us answer every call, provide safe shelter for survivors in our emergency housing, and offer vital programs like counseling and financial empowerment.

Since 1977, HAWC has been a lifeline for survivors, starting with a few volunteers and borrowed phones. Today, we continue to empower survivors to heal, achieve independence, and transform their lives.

Our goal is clear: with 4,167 supporters donating $120, we can sustain our 120-bed capacity and continue providing life-changing services to those who need them most. Every survivor deserves a safe place to rebuild their life

Join us in creating One Safe Place—a community where survivors can rebuild their lives and where strong, healthy relationships thrive, free from violence.

Your gift can mean the difference between life and death for someone seeking safety.
