April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
At HAWC our mission to end domestic and sexual violence. We do that through our 24/7 free and confidential domestic violence and rape crisis hotlines. Our hospital accompaniment program sends advocates to the hospital to provide that emotional support needed during those first critical hours of violence. We counsel survivors to let them know they are believed. And our violence prevention educators work in our communities and schools to build greater understanding of the issues of domestic and sexual violence.
Our work is vital to the safety and healing of survivors in Houston and we can’t do it without your help. Can we count on you to support us this month? Help us spread awareness that sexual assault is serious and widespread. Stand by survivors to let them know they are not alone. Enough is enough. Stand with us.
