NIKE BLUE
Nike Blue is the Chief Quality Officer for the Houston Area Women’s Center.
Two years after leading HAWC’s quality management and compliance team, Nike joins HAWC’s executive leadership to continue tending to excellence and quality agency-wide. Nike holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana, and certificate of achievement from Cornell University in Change Leadership. With more than sixteen years of experience in public health, she led the development and redesign of multiple programs and systems while serving in various leadership roles at the AIDS Foundation Houston. Nike brings her experience in program innovation, project management, quality assurance, and change leadership to HAWC, where she provides strategic direction and oversight of quality assurance & improvement activities, compliance, reporting, research, and client data systems management. She is a member of the American Public Health Association, Texas Evaluation Network, and various HIV-related community driven groups at the local, state, and national level. She is a recent graduate of the United Way of Greater Houston’s Spring 2021 Coffee & Quality Learning Cohort on data analysis and visualization, and the Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders Leadership Program. A Houston native, Nike is passionate about driving systems improvement to increase overall impact, so marginalized communities have access and agency to prevent violence and improve health.
