Lead With Love for One Safe Place Houston is more than the theme of this year’s Leadership Campaign – it’s been our rallying cry since the Houston Area Women’s Center was founded by a group of brave, ambitious, visionary volunteers in 1977 with some donated office space and phone lines.
We’ve set a goal of $1.7 million for this year’s campaign. The support of Houston’s community and business leaders means more than ever.

Seventy-Seven Society
The Seventy-Seven Society honors the courage of those who took a stand in 1977 to create a refuge when few others would – and recognizes those who continue to stand with survivors today.
$100,000 helps provide comprehensive services (food, shelter, counseling, education, legal services, security and more) to families living on-site at One Safe Place Houston.
$75,000 assists with creating family-centered counseling, enrichment and violence prevention programs for children and youth throughout Houston and Harris County
$50,000 helps us maintain a one-of-a-kind temporary supportive housing facility and its grounds
$30,000 reinforces economic and financial stability education to families rebuilding their lives and reclaiming their futures
$25,000 supports 24/7 hotline staff, ensuring immediate access to services
Elevation Circle
The Elevation Circle helps lift individuals and families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives — and power the programs that elevate long-term recovery, prevention, and systemic change.
$20,000 helps cover the costs of 24/7 security at One Safe Place Houston.
$15,000 assists with housekeeping and cleaning costs for One Safe Place Houston.
$10,000 contributes toward escalating utility bills at One Safe Place Houston.
$5,000 aids in the cost of workforce readiness programs.
