HAWC Young Leaders Record-Breaking Independence Day Bash!
By natalie-petrieJul 09, 2015
On Monday, July 6 at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, The Houston Area Women’s Center Young Leaders hosted their 4th annual Independence Day Bash – an evening of open Saint Arnold's craft beer and root beer taps, a silent auction featuring top local businesses and entertainment, food, music, and a celebration in honor of the courage and strength of survivors who have established independence.
Highlights of the evening featured a mission-motivating speech from a survivor and HAWC staff member, and a highly-spirited performance from Montrose dance sensation Juan Carlos The Rollerblader. Check out the photos from the celebratory night in our Facebook album!
Sponsors for the Bash included RCP, Inc, Melanie Small - Realtor R Broker Associate, KW – Memorial and AIG. All proceeds from the event will support our programs and services, which aid survivors of sexual and domestic violence to establish self-sufficient lives free from the effects of abuse, and also educate our community on sexual and domestic violence awareness and prevention.
