This summer, we had the pleasure of hosting two awesome interns through SER Jobs for Progress and Bank of America’s Youth Summer Employment Initiative. The program's goal is to offer high achieving Houston area youth with the opportunity to receive the employment skills needed to advance in their career path.
Andra Smith, who worked with our agency programs, will begin working on a masters in Public Health in Health Behavior and Program Planning with a concentration in Health Disparities from the University of Texas at Houston School of Public Health.
Alexia Griggs, who assisted in various agency departments, is a senior at Foster High School in Richmond, Texas and plans to attend Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama in fall 2016. Upon completion of the Youth Summer Employment Initiative, Griggs was one of three interns to receive an Award for Excellence.
Congratulations and thank you to Alexia and Andra for all your hard work and contribution to our agency!
