    Rebecca White

    President and CEO

    Rebecca joined the agency in March, 2008. She has more than 20 years of management experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently as Senior Vice President of Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, Inc. She has been involved in strategic planning and government relations for nonprofit organizations and is a member of Leadership Houston, United Way Leaders Circle, Women of Wine Charities and the University of Texas Parents Association. Rebecca graduated as a Senior Fellow of Class XXIX of the American Leadership Forum and was selected by Houston Woman Magazine as one of Houston's 50 Most Influential Women of 2011. She currently serves on the Health and Human Services (HHSC) Allocations Committee and the Public Policy Committee for the Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV).


    Tracy Burnett

    Chief Development Officer

    Tracy’s unique blend of administrative oversight, fundraising, team building, marketing and community relations skills span 2+ decades of leadership experience, consulting and extensive work in the non-profit sector. Tracy Burnett, LCSW, CFRE earned her Bachelors of Natural Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Since that time, she has earned additional credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).  Tracy has overseen $28M+ in annual sustainable (renewable) funding for various organizations.  She is heavily involved in volunteer endeavors such as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Gateway Academy (Houston area) and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, serves or has served in leadership capacity in the Houston River Oaks Women’s Breakfast Club and Austin Women’s Chamber of Commerce and also is involved in organizations such as Texas Exes, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, as well as the National Association of Social Workers. On a personal note, Tracy enjoys time outdoors with her family, friends and (of course) her dogs, reading (on the dock of her family bay house whenever possible), Longhorn football and anything creative, usually non-conventional (most recently glass fusion and pure metal clay design work).


    Sonia Corrales

    Chief Program Officer

    Sonia has worked in the field of domestic and sexual violence for 24 years and has 16 years of management experience.  Specializing in anti- violence work, she has served on numerous local, state and national boards and/or committees including Houston Sexual Assault Kit Task Force, Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, Health and Human Services Commission-Task Force to Address the Relationship Between Domestic Violence and Child Abuse and Neglect, and the SAFER Working Group.  She is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, alumni of Leadership Houston Class XXVI, American Leadership Forum-Criminal Justice Class 4, and of the Bank of America Neighborhood Excellence Leadership Program. 


    Pam Huewitt

    Chief Human Resources Officer

    A graduate of Texas State University, Pam has over twenty-five years of experience as a Human Resource professional in manufacturing, retail, insurance, and educational environments. She spent twenty years working in the corporate sector, most recently as a member the Human Resources Team at Houston Community College System, as the Senior Human Resource Generalist for the Southwest College campus. Her expertise includes employee relations, performance management, change management, organizational development and managing staffing needs, as well as development of diversity and inclusion initiatives, development and implementation of Human Resources policies & procedures. She is known as a coach and mentor for leaders with a focus on results. She is active in her profession, is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and HRHouston. Pam joined the Women's Center in February 2014.


    Cassandra Thomas

    Chief Compliance Officer

    Cassandra has over 30 years of experience working in with the issues of domestic and sexual violence, with 24 years of management experience. A nationally recognized media spokesperson and published author, Cassandra is the recipient of the following awards: Women with a Vision Award - Top Ladies of Distinction; Lifetime Achievement Award - TAASA; Women on the Move - Texas Executive Women; and, the Sunbeam Award - Sunshine Ladies Foundation. Cassandra is currently a member of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center Board, the editorial board of the Sexual Assault Report of the Civic Research Center, and a steering committee member of the Texas Foundation of Change Summit.


    Chau Nguyen

    Chief Marketing Officer

    Chau Nguyen brings more than two decades of media and communications experience.  Chau is known by many for her television news career, where she most recently served as an anchor and reporter with KHOU TV. She is the first Vietnamese American journalist to receive an Emmy Award for her documentary series covering a medical mission in Vietnam, and the Houston Press named her reporter of the year in 2007. Chau is also Licensed Master Social Worker, holding a Masters of Arts in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of St. Thomas. Currently, she also serves on Boards of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Texas, Know Autism and the Advisory Boards of The Women's Home and Houston Achievement Place. Chau is frequently asked to emcee events, including Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Inauguration in 2016.  Chau is the proud mother of two young girls, Ryan and Myles and is a member of Unity of Houston.
